Volunteers’ Week 2022: Jade’s Experience with Praxis

Jade has been volunteering with Praxis for the past few months, read about her experience below:

It’s been so good getting to know the staff and the individuals they support and I have found volunteering with Praxis Care very fulfilling and enjoyable. It’s great to see individuals take part in activities, such as jigsaw puzzles, and talking with me about their day and other things in their lives that they enjoy doing.

Praxis Care volunteering has provided me with the opportunity to experience befriending individuals with a variety of mental health issues and has helped to extend my knowledge on the needs of those using the services. I enjoy myself every time I come up to Crozier Mews and always come out feeling ten times better after interacting with and having a laugh with them. It’s a great feeling knowing that they are happy to see me when I come into the building and I would encourage others to volunteer after having such a great experience myself.
