The Hub Staff And Attendees Walk The Boyne Valley Camino To Raise Funds

Boyne Valley Camino Fundraising Walk Completed

Praxis Care attendees and staff joined together recently to complete the 25 km Boyne Valley Camino walk to fundraise for a sensory garden at the Hub service in Drogheda. 

The group walked the entire trail raising over €1200 so far, online and offline. To add to the donations, visit their JustGiving page. Funds will go to the garden that will help the service attendees expand their skills and enjoy the benefits of time spent in nature. Along the way, they visited Tullyallan, Oldbridge, Townley Hall and Mellifont Abbey. 

Pierce Delamere, one of the day service attendees who participated in the walk, said the best bit was Tullyallan.

“I enjoyed the craic with my peers and staff,” he said, “It was good fun and craic and it was sunny.” When asked if he’d do it again, he gave a resounding, “Yes!”
