Navan Day Service provides a New Directions-led service to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. The service is centrally located and within walking distance of local amenities.
Our service offers person centred individualised support for people that encourages personal development and active participation in the community such as art groups, music therapy, swimming and computer courses. Support services can be altered depending on individual needs and preferences to include outreach, in-reach and in-service supports.
This service supports the integration of attendees into the community whilst ensuring their personal and social needs are met. Activities are person-centred and based on individual’s likes and preferences. Examples of some activities include horse riding, arts and crafts, attending a gym, puzzles, walking and swimming. The service encourages independence and supports individuals to develop daily living skills by incorporating tasks into person centred plans.
Referrals can be made by the HSE Disability Team.
