Complex Needs Research Conference, 20 November 2023

You’re invited to attend Praxis Care’s Complex Needs Research Conference

It is an ongoing societal challenge to develop and provide services that effectively and safely meet the complex needs of people who have co-occurring mental health problems, learning disabilities and/or autism.

Research in this area has tended to focus on specific aspects of people’s needs or on specific diagnoses whereas people, especially those with the highest level of need, often have complex combinations of problems, risks and behaviours.

This conference will present a combination of international and Northern Ireland based research on this important area of research, policy and service provision.

The Complex Needs Research Conference will take place:

20 November 2023, 10 am to 5 pm

Council Chamber, Queen’s University Belfast

Speakers include:

  • Professor Gavin Davidson, Praxis Chair of Social Care at Queen’s University Belfast with his inaugural lecture
  • Professors Julie Beadle-Brown and Jill Bradshaw, Tizard Centre, University of Kent
  • Associate Professor Linda Steele, University of Technology, Sydney
  • Experts from Praxis Care’s research, operations and learning and development departments

Spaces are limited. RSVP to communications @ praxiscare.org.uk
