In September, Praxis Care hosted its Annual Quality Conference and Staff Awards Ceremony.
The conference, designed to share best practices and reflect on the past year, brought together staff, families, and the individuals supported by Praxis Care to explore how a person-centred, evidence-based approach enhances outcomes across Northern Ireland, Great Britain, the Republic of Ireland, and the Isle of Man.
At the conference, Chief Executive Carol Breen emphasized the charity’s commitment to creating tailored environments where individuals can thrive:
“By shaping our services around each person’s unique needs, we cultivate a true sense of belonging and growth. It’s about building communities where everyone can flourish.” She added, “This philosophy is at the heart of everything we do.”
Praxis Care’s innovative approach to care is deeply rooted in its long history of pioneering services. The charity introduced the first befriending services in Northern Ireland, a model that has since set the standard for helping individuals with mental health challenges transition from hospital settings to more independent, community-based living.
The impact of this personalized approach is consistently reflected in the feedback from the people supported by Praxis Care. One of the individuals supported by Praxis Care shared their profound sense of attachment to the service, saying:
“I wouldn’t leave here for all the money in the world,” —a sentiment echoed by many across the charity’s regions of operation.
As Praxis Care continues to expand its services, it remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering evidence-based care that empowers every individual to reach their full potential in an environment that feels like home.
