We were delighted to welcome Anne Rabbitte, TD Minister of State Department of Children, Disability, Equality and Integration, during an official visit to Ballina Day Service in County Mayo earlier this week.
The recently established day service in Ballina supports ten individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism and employs eight full-time and part-time staff.
Manager Caitríona Leneghan says the visit provided an opportunity to showcase the work being undertaken by Praxis Care in the west of Ireland. “We were delighted to welcome Minister Rabbitte to the service centre and made full use of her time with us to explain the nature of our work and how it benefits the people we support and the community,” says Ms Leneghan.
