Pinewoods is a respite service for children aged 8 – 18 years located in Ashbourne Co. Meath.

We support children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism.

We provide short breaks for families by providing a high quality, caring, environment for their children. The environment is child friendly and focuses on ‘home from home’ care.

This service provides specialised, person-centred packages of support with the emphasis being on the individuals fulfilling their potential through the development of vocational and life skills.

We focus on developing transferable skills which fosters and encourages the achievement of personal goals. By supporting individuals to become involved in the day-to-day activities we are able to develop a fulfilled sense of achievement while building confidence, new friendships, teamwork, communication skills and problem solving skills.

Pinewoods respite is a purpose built 5 bedroom house with an additional self-contained apartment. Each bedroom has its own en-suite attached. Pinewoods provides overnight breaks to children between the ages of 8 to 19 (provided they are in fulltime education) years.
